The loud banging on the door jolted me awake, and | groaned as | sat up in bed. My head was throbbing, and my eyes were heavy with sleep. | had barely slept for three hours and now this? Ughhh!
| dragged myself to the door, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. My hand reached for the doorknob, and | turned it slowly. The door creaked open, and | blinked as the bright sunlight hit my eyes. A figure stood on the other side, silhouetted against the light. | shielded my eyes, trying to make out who it was.
The figure on the other side of the door came into focus, and | was surprised to see that it was Aurora. My initial surprise was replaced by annoyance, and | felt the urge to slam the door in her face.
“What do you want?” | snapped, crossing my arms over my chest. “| brought your food to your room,” she said, and | noticed the tray of food in her hands. My brow furrowed in confusion.
“Why?” | asked, my gaze piercing. “Like why would Nelly tell you to bring my food to my room?” | asked, my voice growing more impatient.
“My lady doesn’t want to see your face,” she replied, her voice quiet and hesitant.
My jaw clenched, and | felt my face flush with anger. Nelly had never been so angry before, and | couldn’t understand why she would send Aurora to bring my food instead of coming herself. | took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. If | reject this food, | would definitely die of hunger. | need to swallow my pride now.
“Fine,” | said, “I'll take the food.” | reached out and took the tray from Aurora’s hands, my fingers trembling with frustration.
Aurora bowed and left, and | resisted the urge to roll my eyes. | watched her retreating figure and wondered what Lily had found out about her. She had only gone a few miles when she turned around,

“Come in,” | called out, but the knock came again. | sighed in exasperation and called out more loudly, “Come in!” But there was no response. | rinsed my mouth quickly and went to the door.

The food was delicious, but my appetite was gone. | had hoped that this morning, we would all be able to work through our issues, but it seemed that Nelly was bent on fighting. | felt confused and overwhelmed. | took a sip of water, but started to cough. | swallowed too fast.
The door burst open and | turned, fully expecting to see Nelly. But instead, Harry stood in the doorway, a look of concern on his face.
“Good morning,” he said, his voice gentle. | could only muster a mumbled response. He closed the door behind him and came over to me.
“Are you okay?” he asked, concern etched on his features. | shook my head, unable to speak. My mind was reeling, and | couldn’t make sense of anything. Harry reached out and put his hand on my shoulder.

“Is it Nelly?” he asked softly. | nodded, and his brow furrowed in concern. “You both are still fighting?”

“She’s obviously fighting with me, not me fighting with her,” | said, my voice heavy with sadness.
He smiled reassuringly and caressed my cheek. “Just speak to her, even if she’s the one fighting you, okay?” he said, and | nodded in agreement, | wasn’t in the mood to talk or argue.
